Moody's is seeking an experienced Manager for its Ratings & Research Services (RRS) Global Capability Center in Bengaluru. This role combines people management with technical leadership in credit and financial data analysis, supporting the structured finance ratings and research function.
You will lead and manage a team of junior analytical staff, overseeing their development, performance, and career growth. Your responsibilities include managing multiple projects across data, ratings, research, and outreach functions. You'll take full ownership of deliverable quality for your team and independently handle complex business-as-usual tasks such as sophisticated data analysis, loan-by-loan portfolio reviews, and analytical support for structured finance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and mentoring junior analytical staff; hiring, developing, and retaining talent
- Managing data intake, normalization, and processing workflows with technical guidance
- Delivering complex data and research tasks independently
- Supporting global data and technology initiatives by defining requirements and coordinating team workload
- Reviewing complex work for quality assurance and driving process improvements
- Contributing to cross-functional projects including methodology updates and capability center transitions
- Managing stakeholder relationships at senior levels
- Providing proactive feedback on team output and managing team transitions
You'll work within Moody's global capability center model, which provides exposure to valuable skills in financial services. The RRS GCC teams perform critical data, analytical, and research services supporting structured finance rating groups.
Required qualifications: 6+ years in credit or financial data analysis (structured finance experience preferred); strong organizational and mentoring capabilities; advanced Excel proficiency; fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication. Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or Business preferred; CA, CFA, or FRM qualification a plus.
Desired competencies include extensive knowledge of applicable credit methodologies, ability to perform holistic analysis with limited guidance, comfortable interaction with senior stakeholders, and basic understanding of AI concepts (Generative AI and Agentic AI systems) with enthusiasm for exploring how AI tools can improve processes and drive efficiency.
