Adobe's Genuine Engineering group is hiring a C++ Development Engineer to join a team focused on building and maintaining core libraries used across Adobe's desktop products on Windows and macOS. This role centers on product hardening, anti-piracy measures, and fraud detection—critical infrastructure that protects Adobe's intellectual property and service integrity.
You will own features end-to-end: from requirements gathering through implementation, testing, and deployment. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with skilled engineers to develop and maintain features in the Product Hardening or GoCart library, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and continuously improving existing systems by identifying and addressing performance gaps. You'll serve as a platform expert, understanding cross-platform challenges and customer requirements across macOS and Windows environments.
The ideal candidate brings 2–4 years of hands-on C++ development experience, with deep expertise in modern C++, object-oriented programming, and native code optimization. You should be comfortable with debugging, profiling, and performance tuning for large-scale applications. Strong computer science fundamentals, architecture knowledge, and familiarity with Agile methodologies are expected. You'll work independently as a self-starter while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to define and deliver new features.
This is an individual contributor role (P20 level) at a company with 30,000+ employees worldwide. You'll contribute to projects with direct business impact and help shape the future of Adobe's product ecosystem.
