Theom is an AI-driven cloud data security platform protecting enterprise data across major cloud providers (Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS). As a Member of Technical Staff - Backend Engineering, you will design and build core components of the platform, moving beyond maintenance work to architect high-scale, distributed systems.
Key responsibilities include: architecting and implementing scalable software features for multi-cloud data security; designing comprehensive end-to-end test frameworks and CI/CD pipelines for zero-downtime deployments; building systems to detect suspicious access patterns and potential breaches in real-time; developing data classification, discovery, and granular access control solutions; and integrating GenAI and LLM technologies to enhance platform capabilities.
You'll work alongside industry veterans from Google, Amazon, and Cisco in a fast-paced environment where innovation is standard. The role emphasizes ownership—developing features end-to-end from design through deployment—and collaboration with global teams, particularly US-based colleagues.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field; 2+ years professional software engineering experience; strong development skills in modern languages (Golang, Python, Java, C++); deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed system design; familiarity with cloud-native architectures and modern data platforms; and strong communication and collaboration skills.
Bonus experience includes generative AI development (OpenAI APIs, LangChain, vector databases), production-scale data engineering, cloud infrastructure knowledge, and exposure to US-based teams.
