Nutanix is seeking a seasoned UI developer to join the Platforms team as a Member of Technical Staff 4. This is a hybrid role based in Bengaluru, requiring 2-3 days per week in-office collaboration.
You will lead front-end engineering efforts primarily using React, developing enterprise-quality, modular, accessible, and scalable customer-facing products. Your responsibilities include delivering best-in-class user experiences with attention to aesthetics and usability, developing deep understanding of customer use cases, and designing innovative solutions that are simple and intuitive.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop maintainable, modular, and resilient code using React.js, Redux, TypeScript, and CSS
- Collaborate with UX designers, front-end architects, product managers, and backend teams across global locations
- Contribute to the complete product development cycle: technical design, development, testing, experimentation, and launch
- Translate Figma designs into functional, performant front-end implementations
- Participate in code reviews, design document reviews, and provide feedback on product specifications
- Ensure applications adhere to security best practices and accessibility standards (a11y, i18n, l10n)
- Optimize performance using browser storage, databases, and profiling tools
- Participate in technology selection and process definition to keep the stack current
Required qualifications:
- 6-10 years of experience developing production code at product-driven companies
- Strong programming fundamentals and in-depth JavaScript knowledge
- Hands-on experience with React.js, Redux, TypeScript, CSS, and accessibility libraries
- Experience with REST API semantics, browser debugging, and performance optimization
- Understanding of security best practices and browser storage mechanisms
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Detail-oriented with strong focus on quality, design, and user experience
- Self-starter with excellent communication and collaboration skills
The Platforms team is geographically distributed but highly collaborative and supportive, fostering professional and personal growth. You will report to the Senior Manager of the Platforms team.
