Nutanix is seeking a Member of Technical Staff 3 to join the Service Provider (SP) Central team, which is redefining global cloud infrastructure by delivering public cloud management simplicity to on-premises environments. This role focuses on building the backbone platform that empowers Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and Neoclouds delivering secure multi-tenant enterprise cloud solutions and GPU-as-a-Service infrastructure.
You will tackle high-impact distributed systems challenges including granular role-based access control, noisy neighbor isolation in compute-intensive AI workloads, and designing scalable architectures for complex multi-tenant environments. This is a senior individual contributor role where you will learn Nutanix development practices and architecture from experienced engineers while contributing meaningfully to product design, development, and testing.
Responsibilities include writing clean, maintainable, well-documented code; participating in code reviews and technical planning; collaborating with QA, SRE, and Product Management teams; and troubleshooting software defects. You will work on distributed data management, web-scale systems, and fault-tolerant infrastructure that enables service providers to seamlessly manage complex environments.
Required qualifications: BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering with 3–6 years of relevant industry experience. Strong background in OS internals, distributed systems, and high-performance clustered applications. Proficiency in Go, C, C++, Java, or Python; strong Linux expertise; and deep understanding of concurrency patterns and multithreading. Experience with storage, networking, virtualization (Nutanix, VMware, KVM), or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and messaging technologies (NATS, Kafka, Pulsar).
The hybrid role is based in Vancouver with expectations to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week where applicable.
