Tessl is a Series A startup building the context layer for AI coding agents and a platform for AI-native software development. Founded by Guy Podjarny (creator of Snyk), the company has raised over $100M from top-tier investors including Index Ventures, Accel, and GV. In 2025, Tessl ranked #2 in Sifted's B2B SaaS Rising 100 and #20 in its AI 100.
You'll lead Tessl's US events program as the primary on-the-ground operator. This is a hands-on execution role with real autonomy and the opportunity to shape events strategy as the company scales its US presence. Most of the team is based in London, so you'll own your events independently while collaborating across time zones.
Key responsibilities include: running US events end-to-end (strategy through delivery), managing operational details like venues, catering, AV, budgets, and vendors; supporting the developer community program by helping chapter leaders navigate logistics and building repeatable resources; coordinating Tessl's presence at third-party conferences and B2B activations; working with Marketing, Community, and Sales on event promotion and audience acquisition; and maintaining alignment across the distributed team.
You'll be comfortable troubleshooting problems calmly (e.g., an hour before doors open), representing Tessl in the room at priority community events, managing external vendors and partners, and traveling regularly across the US. Success means events run smoothly without senior team oversight, plans are current and trusted, problems surface early with solutions, and events contribute measurable value to growth goals—generating sales opportunities and growing the developer community.
Required: several years running events, field marketing, or community events from planning through delivery; excellent organization and project management across multiple concurrent events; proactive communication; good independent judgment; vendor and venue management experience; hands-on comfort with both strategic and tactical work; comfort in fast-moving companies and distributed teams.
Nice to have: developer/technology/startup community event experience; community chapters or ambassador program support; both community and B2B/field event experience; familiarity with the New York tech scene; event promotion experience via community channels, email, social, or local outreach.
