EVERSANA is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) or Senior Medical Science Liaison specializing in ophthalmology, particularly retinal disease, for the West region based in Los Angeles. This is a field-based scientific expert role focused on engaging healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and clinical leaders in peer-to-peer scientific exchange around ophthalmology products, with emphasis on neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD/wet AMD) treatment.
Key responsibilities include: serving as the primary medical point of contact in your geographic area; maintaining deep clinical and scientific expertise in ophthalmology standards of care; conducting compliant and accurate scientific peer exchanges with the medical community; engaging in medical and scientific exchanges including advisory boards; conducting pre-launch KOL profiling to enhance product and disease knowledge; facilitating account and institution profiling to understand patient care pathways and treatment protocols; developing and tracking strategic KOL engagement plans with long-term collaborative relationships; supporting health systems and population health leaders with clinical and scientific information; delivering clinical and scientific presentations to healthcare providers, health systems, medical groups, and advocacy organizations; building relationships with key decision makers across health systems, medical groups, provider offices, and professional societies; providing market trend and clinical intelligence insights; collaborating with Medical Affairs leadership on KOL development; working with clients and thought leaders to develop clinical insights supporting medical research; attending and reporting on local and regional educational events, symposia, and CME events; managing time and travel budgets for scientific exchange activities; demonstrating excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills; working independently with strong time management; maintaining attention to detail; supporting the company's Quality Management System; handling clinical program requests and unsolicited information requests; potentially collaborating with R&D on company-sponsored clinical trials; working collaboratively with commercial colleagues on product strategy; and representing clients at medical meetings through Medical Affairs booth coverage.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, uphold company mission and values through accountability and integrity, and provide internal teams with feedback and insights from KOL interactions.
