EVERSANA is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) or Senior Medical Science Liaison specializing in ophthalmology, based in the Northeast (Philadelphia, PA). This field-based scientific expert role focuses on retinal disease, particularly neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD/wet AMD). You will serve as the primary medical point of contact in your geographic area, engaging healthcare professionals, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and clinical institutions in peer-to-peer scientific exchange around client products. Responsibilities include: • Maintain deep clinical and scientific expertise in ophthalmology standards of care, particularly wet AMD treatment • Conduct compliant, accurate scientific discussions with the medical community regarding product science and disease management • Develop and execute Strategic KOL engagement plans, identifying and building long-term collaborative relationships within your region • Facilitate account and institution profiling to understand patient care pathways and treatment protocols • Deliver clinical and scientific presentations to healthcare providers, health systems, medical groups, and advocacy organizations • Support health systems and population health leaders with clinical and scientific information to guide medical decisions • Identify market trends and clinical intelligence; provide insights to internal teams • Manage advisory boards and participate in pre-launch KOL profiling efforts • Attend and report on local/regional educational events, symposia, and scientific meetings • Manage travel and expense budgets for scientific exchange activities • Collaborate with R&D on clinical trials and investigator-initiated trial (IIT) proposals • Represent clients at medical meetings and scientific booth coverage • Respond to and document unsolicited information requests • Work cross-functionally with commercial colleagues to ensure product strategy alignment You'll interact with ophthalmology and optometry clinics, retinal specialists, professional societies, health systems, and national/regional thought leaders. The role requires excellent written and oral communication, strong presentation skills, independent time management, analytical problem-solving, and unwavering attention to detail. You must uphold compliance with regulatory guidelines and company Quality Management System policies.
