EVERSANA is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) or Senior Medical Science Liaison with deep expertise in ophthalmology, particularly retinal disease and neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD/wet AMD). This field-based scientific expert role focuses on building and maintaining relationships with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and clinical institutions across a geographic region.
Key responsibilities include serving as the primary medical point of contact in your assigned area, maintaining clinical expertise in wet AMD treatment standards, and conducting peer-to-peer scientific exchanges with ophthalmologists, retinal specialists, optometrists, and health systems. You will develop and execute strategic KOL engagement plans, conduct pre-launch profiling efforts, and facilitate account/institution profiling to understand patient care pathways and treatment protocols.
The role requires delivering clinical and scientific presentations to healthcare providers, health systems, medical group leadership, and advocacy organizations. You will identify and attend key educational events, symposia, and scientific meetings, providing market trend insights and clinical intelligence back to internal teams. Collaboration with Medical Affairs leadership, clients, and thought leaders at national, regional, and local levels is essential to develop clinical insights supporting new and existing products.
Additional duties include managing time and travel budgets for scientific activities, handling unsolicited information requests, supporting investigator-initiated trials (IITs), and representing the client at medical meetings and scientific booths. You will work compliantly with commercial colleagues to ensure product strategy is represented across account engagement.
The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills, strong presentation abilities, independent work management, attention to detail, analytical problem-solving, and commitment to company mission and quality standards. This is a field-based position requiring significant travel and direct engagement with the ophthalmology community.
