Ossium Health is seeking an experienced Medical Science Liaison to serve as the scientific bridge between its cryopreserved deceased donor bone marrow cell therapy technology and the hematology/oncology and transplant medicine communities across the Western US. This is not a traditional pharma MSL role—you'll work with breakthrough cell therapy at an early-stage biotech company, offering real autonomy, meaningful scientific impact, and direct influence on clinical development decisions.
You will build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in hematology, oncology, and transplant medicine throughout your region. Your responsibilities include educating physicians and transplant care teams on Ossium's science and clinical value proposition, presenting clinical data at medical conferences and scientific meetings, supporting clinical trial recruitment and investigator engagement, and responding to medical information requests from healthcare professionals. You'll also support advisory boards and scientific advisory meetings, collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Clinical, Commercial, Marketing, and Regulatory teams on scientific communications, monitor the competitive landscape, and contribute to medical publications and conference abstracts.
In your first six months, you'll identify and build relationships with 15–20 key transplant centers in your region, attend scientific conferences to connect with transplant care providers, create and present scientific materials for Ossium's bone marrow products, and expand the company's physician education program.
Required qualifications include an advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, DNP, or MS) in life sciences, medicine, or a related field; 7+ years of MSL experience in the US; domain expertise in stem cell transplant, cell therapy, and/or gene therapy; experience engaging academic medical centers or complex hospital systems; comfort presenting scientific data to healthcare professionals; ability to operate independently and manage a regional territory; and willingness to travel up to 70% (mostly regional, some national conferences). Preferred qualifications include clinical experience and existing professional relationships in hematology/oncology or transplant medicine, KOL engagement and advisory board experience, and a track record of successful medical conference presentations.
