Salary: USD 219,000 - 260,000 / annual
Relay Therapeutics is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for the Southeast region to bridge scientific expertise with the oncology community. This field-based role focuses on breast cancer precision medicine and involves extensive engagement with key opinion leaders, oncologists, clinical researchers, and healthcare professionals.
Key responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with KOLs to exchange scientific insights on breast cancer research advances; supporting clinical trials by working with trial sites, investigators, and healthcare providers to facilitate patient enrollment and troubleshoot challenges; delivering scientific and medical education through presentations and discussions at hospitals, cancer centers, and conferences; staying current with emerging breast cancer treatments, competitive therapies, and precision medicine developments; representing Relay Therapeutics at major oncology conferences, advisory boards, and investigator meetings; gathering and sharing field insights from healthcare professionals to inform clinical and medical strategies; and ensuring all interactions comply with industry regulations, company policies, and legal guidelines.
The ideal candidate holds an advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, or MD preferred; NP, PA, or RPh backgrounds considered with significant experience) and brings 5+ years of MSL or similar field-based experience, ideally in solid tumor oncology with strong breast cancer focus. Required qualifications include deep understanding of oncology, clinical research, and biomarker testing; strong presentation and communication skills adaptable to diverse audiences; self-motivation and effective schedule management in a field-based environment; and comfort with up to 60% travel including overnight stays for site visits, conferences, and team meetings.
