Orca Bio is a commercial-stage biotechnology company developing next-generation allogeneic cell therapies to improve outcomes for patients with blood cancer. The company is redefining the stem cell transplant process with purified, high-precision cell therapies designed to reduce risks such as graft-versus-host disease while improving survival rates.
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will report to the Senior Director of National Field Medical Affairs and serve as a trusted scientific partner between Orca Bio and external healthcare providers (HCPs) across the Ohio Valley region. The role focuses on fostering strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and supporting the scientific and clinical strategy for Orca Bio's cell therapy portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
- Establishing and maintaining professional collaborations with investigators and HCPs within the designated territory (Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia)
- Providing deep scientific expertise in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), cellular therapy, and the evolving cell therapy landscape
- Supporting clinical, operational, regulatory, and market access considerations
- Contributing to Medical Affairs Strategic Objectives and cross-functional projects
- Serving as an active leader on initiatives that advance the company's scientific positioning
The ideal candidate brings extensive expertise in HSCT and cellular therapy, with a strong understanding of the clinical and regulatory environment. This is a field-based remote role with a geographic focus on the Ohio Valley region. Candidates must be willing to reside in Ohio (preferred), Pennsylvania (preferred), Indiana, Kentucky, or West Virginia.
