As Media Buying Manager based in Melbourne, you will be the first media buying hire in APAC, building and leading the regional media buying function. You'll plan and execute global event media strategies across Australia and the APAC region using traditional marketing channels (OOH, TV, Radio) to drive attendance, revenue, and brand impact.
Key responsibilities:
- Architect and execute media plans for events worldwide (pre-launch, launch, post-event) targeting ticket/attendance and ROI goals
- Source and develop high-value partnerships with media outlets and event-friendly channels across regions
- Own activations end-to-end: negotiate commercials, oversee technical integrations, optimize in-flight performance
- Manage budgets with rigorous pacing and ROI discipline; report on spend vs. outcomes by event and market
- Develop playbooks for localization, last-mile venue promotion, and rapid geo-expansion
- Build reporting infrastructure (dashboards, post-mortems) linking media to attendance, CPA per attendee, and revenue lift
- Project manage multiple concurrent events to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery
You bring 7+ years in traditional media (OOH, TV, Radio), ideally with event or time-bound campaign experience. Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Communications preferred. Strong English required; second language (Spanish, Korean, Japanese, Hindi, Mandarin, Cantonese) is a plus. You're proactive, solution-focused, and calm under tight deadlines.
Fever offers hybrid work (Melbourne HQ), 12% superannuation, private health insurance (up to 2,750 AUD annually), ClassPass wellness membership, language learning support, and 40% discount on all Fever events.
