Metabase is seeking a Marketing Programs & Operations specialist to join a small, growing marketing team. This is an ideal role for someone who bridges technical and marketing worlds—someone who has used data tools like Metabase, written SQL, or built dashboards, and can bring that hands-on experience to marketing strategy and execution. You'll work directly with the VP of Marketing in a remote-first, async environment. The role is highly varied and project-driven, with responsibilities shifting over the first year. You'll be expected to solve problems with minimal direction, combining creative problem-solving with technical execution. Key responsibilities include: - Building and maintaining the marketing technology stack: understanding integrations, identifying breakdowns, and optimizing costs - Creating integrations and automations between marketing tools using APIs, webhooks, MCPs, and other integration methods - Publishing and managing webpages via GitHub, running A/B tests, and launching landing pages independently - Owning smaller channel experiments end-to-end, from hypothesis development through analysis and documentation (including failed experiments) - Supporting community events programs: logistics, speaker coordination, pre/post-event communications, and data collection - Testing and refining messaging based on your own experience as a data-curious user of BI tools Metabase is a venture-backed company that brings consumer-grade elegance to enterprise business intelligence. Used by hundreds of thousands of people to explore their own data, the company believes the best marketing comes from people who genuinely use the product. The team is small enough that what you build becomes how the organization operates. You'll work closely with the entire marketing team in a remote-first culture that values async communication and clear writing. Requirements: - Experience with Metabase or comfort writing SQL - Fluency with AI tools and judgment about when to apply them - Strong written communication skills (essential for remote, async work) - High agency, resourcefulness, and comfort learning new things - Background in analytics, operations, support, consulting, engineering, product, or marketing (traditional marketing background not required) - Data curiosity and technical fearlessness - Proximity to the target user persona (data-curious professionals)
