Upwave is a profitable, growth-stage brand measurement platform backed by Y Combinator and leading venture investors. The company specializes in measuring and optimizing upper-funnel advertising campaigns across CTV, digital, social, linear, addressable, retail media, and streaming audio channels.
As Marketing Programs Manager, you will own the planning and execution of Upwave's marketing initiatives, including virtual and in-person events, webinars, conferences, sponsorships, and executive speaking engagements. You'll manage all logistics for both company-owned and industry events—vendors, budgets, third-party participation, timelines, promotional materials, shipping, registrations, travel, and on-site coordination. For virtual events, you'll handle webinar platform management, speaker coordination, registrations, promotions, rehearsals, and live execution.
You'll support integrated marketing program execution across email, social media, website, and other channels in partnership with Sales. You'll ensure program assets, timelines, approvals, and stakeholders remain aligned so initiatives launch successfully and on schedule. You'll also coordinate cross-functional marketing activities for product launches and major company initiatives.
On the operations side, you'll own marketing calendars, project timelines, budgets, vendor relationships, and day-to-day program management. You'll maintain and improve marketing processes, documentation, and operational workflows to increase team efficiency and scalability. You'll help administer marketing technologies and operational tools that support campaign execution, reporting, and team efficiency.
You'll serve as Marketing's primary point of contact for trade organizations (CIMM, VAB), industry memberships (Ad Council), and related partnerships. You'll coordinate Upwave's participation in industry initiatives and committees, ensuring opportunities are organized, executed, and leveraged effectively.
You'll partner closely with Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Executive Leadership to ensure marketing initiatives are executed successfully while balancing multiple projects and competing priorities.
Required: 5–7 years of experience in marketing, marketing operations, and/or event marketing. You must have successfully planned and executed both virtual webinars and in-person events, and be comfortable managing webinar platforms like Zoom Webinar. Experience managing external vendors, agencies, or event partners is essential. You're an exceptional project manager who enjoys organizing complex initiatives, takes ownership, follows through on details, and can independently drive projects from planning through execution. You communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, customers, partners, executives, and external vendors. You're highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to balance multiple priorities simultaneously. You thrive in a collaborative startup environment where priorities evolve quickly.
Bonus: Experience in advertising, media, marketing technology, or SaaS.
