Volta is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure platform backed by a $10B strategic partnership with a leading frontier AI lab, Series A funding from Andreessen Horowitz, and a $5B AI Infrastructure Fund. The company is building the infrastructure layer for the AI era, currently 100+ people across London, Palo Alto, and New York with rapid growth planned.
As Volta's first dedicated events hire, you will own the complete events strategy and execution calendar, reporting to the Director of Marketing. This role is central to converting Volta's market attention and flagship event moments into pipeline from day one.
Key responsibilities include:
**Event Strategy & Ownership**: Develop and own a 12-month event calendar covering logistics, sponsorships, speaking submissions, and booth strategy. Lead planning for flagship-tier industry conferences and capstone calendar moments. Partner with Sales and Marketing leadership to define event goals, target audiences, and success metrics upfront. Stay current on industry event trends. Manage swag, collateral, and booth assets aligned with brand guidelines.
**Vendor & Partner Management**: Build and manage relationships with venues, event-production vendors, and industry partners. Own the events budget including vendor negotiation, sponsorship-tier decisions, and cost tracking.
**On-Site Execution & Pipeline Impact**: Own on-site execution including staffing, signage, and attendee experience, working directly with contracted event-production support. Convert event presence into real pipeline for leadership's high-value, sequenced conversations (targeted relationship motion, not volume). Coordinate executive logistics for speaking engagements including briefing prep, talk-track alignment, and on-site support. Own post-event lead capture and handoff for nurture. Report event performance, pipeline impact, and ROI back into broader marketing planning.
You bring 5+ years in B2B tech field marketing or events, ideally in infrastructure, cloud, or enterprise SaaS. You have experience managing external event-production agencies while owning strategy in-house. You have a track record owning sponsorship negotiations and event budgets at meaningful scale. You're comfortable operating with minimal existing infrastructure in a fast-moving, pre-Series-B environment with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
