You will lead the Marketing Development Representative (MDR) team, serving as the critical first touchpoint for prospective customers and a key driver of pipeline. This is a player-coach role for someone with quota-carrying experience who thrives on developing early-career talent into high performers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Hire, onboard, mentor, and lead a team of MDRs to hit daily, monthly, and quarterly targets
- Build sales acumen, product knowledge, and physical-security industry expertise through hands-on coaching and structured training
- Own the inbound lead-qualification motion end-to-end, ensuring fast follow-up and thorough discovery for high-quality handoffs to Account Executives
- Partner with Growth/Demand Generation Marketing to improve lead quality, routing, and conversion
- Align with Sales Managers and AEs on lead quality, tighten handoffs, and close the loop on down-funnel outcomes
- Report on team and individual KPIs (call volume, activity, lead quality, conversion, meetings set, pipeline) and use data to coach and drive decisions
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and build scalable processes prioritizing speed-to-lead, productivity, and rep ramp time
- Run effective 1:1s and weekly team meetings in a high-energy, high-accountability environment
Required qualifications:
- 2+ years in software/SaaS sales with consistent quota achievement as an individual contributor
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience
- 1+ years of people management or team-lead experience with demonstrated ability to build a strong, motivating environment
- Proven experience building and improving inbound (and ideally outbound) sales-development processes
- Comfort leading with data and using metrics to coach and make decisions
- Strong command of modern sales-development tech stack (CRM like HubSpot or Salesforce, sales-engagement tools like Outreach, data tools like ZoomInfo or Clay)
- Experience running productive 1:1s and team meetings, managing expectations across the organization
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment
Plus factors: experience in physical security, hardware + SaaS, building MDR/SDR functions from early stage, or familiarity with marketing automation and lead-scoring/routing.
