Defense Unicorns is seeking a Marketing Content Manager to develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy across multiple channels. This role owns the full content lifecycle—from strategy and editorial planning through creation, distribution, and performance measurement. Key responsibilities include: **Content Strategy & Editorial Planning**: Develop a multi-channel content strategy aligned with company priorities, product launches, and business goals. Own the editorial calendar across social media, newsletters, blog content, and thought leadership. Create repeatable editorial processes that keep contributors and stakeholders aligned while ensuring timely delivery. Balance planned campaigns with timely content tied to company news, industry developments, and cultural moments. **Social Media Management**: Own day-to-day management of Defense Unicorns' LinkedIn and X presence. Plan, write, schedule, and optimize social content reflecting brand voice and company objectives. Create a thoughtful mix of company news, product education, technical insights, mission-focused stories, and industry commentary. Partner with executives and subject-matter experts on thought leadership. Monitor conversations and platform trends to identify engagement opportunities. Track performance and use results to improve content topics, formats, timing, and distribution. **Content Creation & Editing**: Write and edit high-quality content across short- and long-form formats including blog posts, case studies, white papers, social content, newsletters, and website copy. Interview customers, partners, leaders, and technical experts to uncover stories and translate complex concepts. Repurpose larger assets into channel-specific formats. Ensure accuracy, usefulness, and brand consistency. Provide editing and quality control for organizational contributors. **Content Discovery & Optimization**: Apply SEO and answer engine optimization best practices to improve visibility. Optimize headlines, metadata, structure, internal links, and calls to action. Partner with website owners and marketing team members to improve existing content performance. **Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Partner with product marketing, demand generation, growth, sales, delivery, recruiting, and design teams. Communicate content plans, dependencies, risks, and results clearly to stakeholders. **Measurement & Improvement**: Track performance metrics including reach, engagement, subscriber growth, website traffic, search visibility, and campaign results. Produce regular reporting on what's working and what should change. Test new topics, formats, and distribution methods. Use quantitative and qualitative feedback to refine strategy.
