Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer to join the Launched Effects team, responsible for scaling manufacturing and delivery of the Altius family of air-launched autonomous aerial systems. You will own test activities across the production value stream, from system-level checkouts and acceptance testing to component-level in-process validation, ensuring products meet stringent military standards and production throughput requirements.
Key responsibilities include maintaining and improving test capabilities and automation across the manufacturing value stream; developing and sustaining test work instructions for technician teams; analyzing test data and providing detailed reports to identify defects and improvement areas; performing root cause analysis on product failures and recommending corrective actions; collaborating with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering teams on customer returns and failure analysis; optimizing test strategies for efficiency without compromising quality; maintaining and calibrating test equipment; and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
You will troubleshoot complex electrical issues, develop libraries of common failure modes with troubleshooting guides, train technicians on equipment use, and provide feedback to design engineers based on test outcomes. The role requires hands-on problem-solving and creative thinking to address difficult testing challenges while pushing for continuous improvements in automation, throughput, user interfaces, and data analytics.
The position is permanently based in Ashville, OH. Candidates must temporarily relocate for a comprehensive 3-month training program: 1 month in Santa Ana, CA, followed by approximately 2 months in Atlanta, GA. Anduril fully covers all corporate housing, transportation, and travel accommodations during this training period.
