Base Power is rebuilding America's electrical grid through distributed battery systems. As Production Supervisor, you will lead one of the company's first manufacturing teams, establishing production culture and driving ambitious growth targets.
You will manage a team of Production Associates, ensuring safe, high-quality battery system assembly while hitting daily and weekly production targets. Key responsibilities include:
- Creating a positive, safe, and productive work environment; removing roadblocks for your team
- Acting as the primary communication link between the production floor and management
- Ensuring all products meet quality specifications and understanding the "why" behind standards
- Leading root cause analysis (5 Whys methodology) to prevent recurring defects
- Championing 5S organization principles for a clean, high-output workspace
- Identifying bottlenecks and reallocating resources to maximize throughput
- Executing the production ramp plan in coordination with leadership
- Driving continuous improvement using Lean principles to reduce cycle times and waste
- Personally overseeing training and certification of new Production Associates
- Conducting safety audits and Job Hazard Analyses with the EHS team
- Managing day-to-day operations: timecards, scheduling, resource planning with Warehouse

REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years experience as Production Supervisor in manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse environment
- Experience scaling production lines or working in high-growth environments
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or 5S concepts
- Strong people leadership: approachable, patient, good listener; ability to motivate teams
- Adaptability and comfort in startup environments where processes evolve quickly
- Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends as needed
