Figma is seeking a Manager, Solutions Consulting to lead the Japan Solutions Consulting team. This is a people-management role within the Sales organization, responsible for building, hiring, and developing a team of Solutions Consultants who drive customer value and accelerate growth through consultative selling strategies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and motivating a diverse team of Solutions Consultants with direct accountability for performance, coaching, and career development
- Participating in customer and prospect meetings alongside the team to demonstrate platform value and technical possibilities
- Designing and implementing strategic programs that scale the Solutions Consulting function and drive customer impact
- Collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Customer Experience, Partners, and Support teams to define and execute technical pre- and post-sales strategies
- Providing hands-on mentorship, hiring support, and career growth opportunities for team members
Required qualifications:
- 3+ years as a frontline manager leading Solutions Consultants or Sales Engineers, with direct accountability for team performance, coaching, and feedback
- 8+ years of relevant customer-facing or practitioner technical experience in similar roles
- Proven ability to design and implement strategic programs that drive cross-team impact while remaining a hands-on problem solver
- Excellent communication skills with both practitioner and executive audiences; ability to translate complex technical concepts for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated success collaborating with cross-functional partners across Sales, Product, Customer Success, Partners, and Support
- Alignment with company values and ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving environment
Desirable qualifications:
- Experience with developer personas and developer tools, including light scripting, querying, or prototyping
- Practical experience using or working with Figma
- Experience leading teams across multiple time zones
