Salary: USD 245,000 - 307,000 / annual
Vercel is seeking a Manager of Solutions Architecture to lead the Americas Solutions Architecture team. This hybrid role (3 days/week in office) is based in San Francisco, New York, or Austin and reports to Sales and Field Engineering leadership.
You will lead, develop, and manage a team of Solutions Architects supporting pre- and post-sales activities across the Americas region. Key responsibilities include:
• Lead and mentor a team of Solutions Architects, driving technical excellence and career development
• Provide hands-on support for key accounts, including technical presentations, architecture reviews, and migration planning
• Coach SA engagement on strategic accounts and critical deals
• Partner with engineering to translate field feedback into product improvements
• Develop repeatable sales plays based on team trends and customer patterns
• Track and report SA team performance quarterly to leadership
• Own organizational planning, staffing, budgeting, and regional recruiting
Vercel is the agentic infrastructure company behind Next.js, v0, and AI SDK. The platform powers developers and AI agents at companies like OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, and Supreme, helping teams move from idea to production with speed and security.
Required qualifications:
• 8+ years in Solutions Architecture, Sales Engineering, or Technical Pre-sales roles
• 2+ years in a leadership position managing technical teams
• Strong background in web technologies (Next.js, React, Node.js, APIs, cloud infrastructure)
• Proven ability to lead and scale teams in high-growth environments
• Experience with enterprise and commercial customers across diverse industries
• Deep understanding of modern software development workflows (CI/CD, DevOps, frontend frameworks)
• Strong collaboration skills across Sales, Product, and Engineering
Bonus experience includes working with Vercel or Next.js, leading SA teams at high-growth SaaS/cloud companies, expertise in developer tooling or edge computing, and conference/webinar presentation experience.
