Klue is hiring a Manager, Sales Development to lead and scale the SDR (Sales Development Representative) team. This is a hands-on management role with full ownership of the SDR function, reporting to the Director of Demand Generation.
Key responsibilities include:
**Operational Leadership**: Own SDR quotas, targets, and performance reporting. Manage tools and processes (Outreach, HubSpot) to keep the pipeline engine running efficiently. Flag risks to pipeline generation targets proactively before they impact revenue.
**Team Building & Hiring**: Source, interview, and hire SDRs. Build an onboarding program that gets new hires productive quickly. Identify high performers, map career paths, and create succession plans so the team isn't dependent on any single person.
**Coaching & Development**: Run regular cold call coaching sessions and role plays with creative, engaging approaches. Build a strong cultural presence that energizes early-career reps. Close skill gaps as products and pricing evolve.
**Strategy & Execution**: Partner with Demand Generation on quarterly targeting and talk tracks. Execute the strategy while feeding insights back on what's working and what isn't. Represent the SDR team's perspective in planning conversations and adjust focus as priorities shift.
Success metrics include hitting quarterly targets, faster new hire ramp times, introducing new processes or perspectives, SDRs feeling coached and supported, low regrettable attrition, and proactive risk flagging.
Required experience: Sales background (ideally SaaS), cold calling and prospecting expertise, team training/management/leadership experience, and strong self-awareness. Nice-to-haves include scaling teams from 3-4 to 6+ reps and competitive intelligence or technical B2B sales experience.
