Remote is a global employment platform that helps organizations recruit, pay, and manage international teams compliantly. This Manager, Payroll Operations role leads the payroll function across the APAC region, overseeing a team of payroll professionals and ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing across multiple countries.
You will own the complete payroll operations function, managing the payroll team with guidance and mentorship while serving as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on all payroll matters. Key responsibilities include ensuring payroll is processed on time and in compliance with country-specific government regulations, staying current with international payroll laws and regulations, managing relationships with payroll service providers and accounting partners, and developing best practices, KPIs, and SLA metrics for the team.
You'll report to the Senior Manager, Payroll Operations and work in a fully remote, asynchronous environment across multiple continents. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in regional or global payroll operations, particularly in Australia/New Zealand, with deep understanding of global payroll best practices and experience implementing payroll systems across multiple countries. You should be proficient in tools like SAP, Excel, and Google Sheets, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. A passion for process improvement, automation, and working in fast-paced international environments is essential. Fluent English and comfort with asynchronous remote work are required.
