Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations Cloud, a platform enabling organizations dependent on physical operations to harness IoT data for actionable insights. You will lead and develop a team of approximately 8 Account Executives II focused on mid-sized private sector organizations. This is a people management role requiring a proven track record of hiring, developing, and leading inclusive, high-performing teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coach account executives on sales strategy, pipeline reviews, and quarterly targets
- Hire new account executives and provide onboarding and ongoing coaching
- Work cross-functionally to solve problems and manage projects
- Create content for training and development
- Support professional development plans and provide clear, tactical feedback
- Foster culture with high emotional intelligence
- Champion and embed Samsara's cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team)
Minimum requirements:
- At least two years of proven leadership performance
- Strong track record of overachievement with experience coaching teams on outbound sales
- Understanding of complex sales cycles with multiple decision makers and extended time-frames
- Excellent communication skills and comfort with public speaking
- Strong interpersonal and team management skills
- Self-starter mentality and adaptability to change
- Growth mindset to learn unique industries
- Proven proficiency in data-driven decision making
- Ability to provide upward feedback to management
- Ability to analyze and forecast pipeline accurately
- Comfort working with cross-functional teams
