Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks a Manager of Manufacturing Test Software Engineering to lead the strategic oversight and tactical management of production systems supporting high-volume defense products. This role combines people leadership with deep technical expertise in manufacturing test systems. You will direct a manufacturing software test engineering team, setting objectives, guiding initiatives, and assessing outcomes. Key responsibilities include architecting and overseeing manufacturing software test strategy for each product to ensure scalable operations across Anduril's portfolio, transitioning from low-rate initial production (LRIP) through full-rate production (FRP). You'll strategize and implement advancements in manufacturing testing, focusing on automation, uniformity, and operational streamlining. The role demands evaluating test data, compiling findings, and identifying opportunities for product and process enhancements. You'll communicate strategic visions to key stakeholders, collaborate with product development teams on design testability, and lead procurement and implementation of new test equipment with cost-benefit and ROI analyses. You'll champion initiatives that enhance safety, reduce costs, improve quality, and increase productivity through testing, while cultivating a culture focused on innovation, collaboration, and accountability. As the go-to technical authority for manufacturing test matters, you'll advise on and troubleshoot complex issues, design proactive maintenance and calibration protocols for manufacturing test equipment, and manage projects integrating electrical, mechanical, and software/firmware systems. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, with minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience leading manufacturing test engineering. You must have expertise in Linux, C#, Python, and NixOS; solid experience with PCBA/electronic assembly testing and testing standards; proficiency with electronic test equipment; strong analytical skills for root cause analysis; familiarity with PLM systems, MES, and TES; and eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
