Salary: CAD 112,000 - 169,000 / annual

7shifts is a scheduling and payroll platform serving over 55,000 restaurants. As Manager of IT, you will lead the IT function day-to-day and manage a team of three supporting the growing organization. You report to the Director, Information Security & Privacy and own the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring employees have the tools, technology, and support needed to perform effectively. You will be responsible for improving employee support by streamlining ticketing and issue resolution, building a consistent approach to AI tooling across the company, and partnering with Security to vet and approve new tools. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on building scalable processes and solving real problems for the team. Key responsibilities include: - Leading and developing a small team with coaching, feedback, and creating a culture of curiosity and continuous improvement - Managing day-to-day IT operations while staying hands-on with employee support through Jira, troubleshooting issues, and improving request resolution - Owning key software platforms and IT environment to ensure reliability, proper management, and scalability - Leading IT projects that improve workflows and employee experience, including onboarding and offboarding - Shaping and growing the AI tooling practice across 7shifts, building knowledge and self-service resources - Partnering with Security, Development, and business leaders to evaluate, standardize, and drive technology adoption 7shifts is a Series C, VC-backed SaaS company with offices in Saskatoon and Toronto, offering hybrid work flexibility. Requirements: - Experience leading and developing an IT team, including coaching and creating a culture of continuous improvement - Hands-on IT expertise in a fast-moving SaaS environment, supporting Mac environments, troubleshooting technical issues, managing SaaS applications, and administering user access - Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom, and Atlassian tools - Experience with Jamf Pro or similar device management platform and Okta or similar identity and access management solution - Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences - Practical, adaptable approach to ambiguity with ability to make thoughtful decisions and prioritize effectively Nice-to-have: - Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Perl for automating repetitive tasks - Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and automation for improving IT operations scalability and reliability
