You will lead the Enterprise Collections organization as part of the Order to Cash function. This is a people-management role where you'll drive collections performance for a portfolio of enterprise customers while leading and developing your team. You'll partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, Legal, and Finance to support timely cash collection while maintaining strong customer experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own collections performance metrics (aging, past-due reduction, dispute resolution velocity) for your team's enterprise account portfolio, balancing cash outcomes with customer experience
- Provide guidance, coaching, and performance management for collections analysts and specialists
- Lead strategic initiatives to meet collections targets and collaborate with senior leadership to align team strategies with broader Order-to-Cash and enterprise goals
- Manage escalations and complex customer communications with sound judgment and professionalism
- Partner cross-functionally (Sales, Legal, Deal Desk, Customer Success, Financial Systems, Treasury) to resolve complex invoicing, contract, and payment issues
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives (tools, workflows, reporting) to enhance collections efficiency and customer experience
- Participate in periodic reviews of Order-to-Cash policies and SOX controls with senior leadership, ensuring team compliance
- Represent Order-to-Cash/Collections in cross-functional initiatives
- Hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, high-performing team while championing Samsara's cultural principles
This role is ideal for a people-focused, detail-oriented operational leader who thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional environments. The position is remote and open to US candidates except those in Alaska, Austin Metro, Boulder Metro, California, Chicago Metro, Connecticut, Dallas Metro, Denver Metro, Houston Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Seattle Metro, and Washington D.C.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5–7+ years of experience in Order-to-Cash, Revenue Operations, Billing, or Shared Services
- 3–5+ years of supervisory/people management experience
- Demonstrated ability to support team objectives and deliver results through others
- Strong knowledge of Order-to-Cash and Accounts Receivable processes, including collections and dispute management
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership
- Ability to drive process optimization and automation initiatives
- Working knowledge of SOX controls and policy compliance in a finance operations environment
- Hands-on experience using both Salesforce and NetSuite (or comparable CRM and ERP systems) to investigate customer, opportunity, contract, order, invoice, payment, credit, or account data
IDEAL CANDIDATE ALSO HAS:
- Experience implementing or using Accounts Receivable and Order-to-Cash automation platforms (HighRadius, Growfin, Tesorio, etc.)
- Experience with SAP or Oracle
