Wealthsimple, Canada's leading financial innovator serving 4+ million Canadians with $155B+ in assets under administration, is seeking a Manager of Growth for its active trader and crypto business. You will own end-to-end performance and lifecycle marketing for the self-directed trading and crypto segment. This includes acquiring high-intent traders and crypto investors through channels they actively use (X/Twitter, TradingView, crypto newsletters, SEM, influencer partnerships), converting them into funded active traders, and deepening engagement through lifecycle programs that drive trading volume and revenue. Key responsibilities: - Own demand generation across trader and crypto-native channels, measured through funded accounts and sustained trading activity rather than vanity metrics. - Manage media buys end-to-end: plan and manage budgets, negotiate with vendors, run creative and landing-page testing, and diagnose performance drivers. - Own trader and crypto lifecycle journeys (activation, first-trade, funding, re-engagement) in partnership with Lifecycle and Product teams, using platforms like Braze. - Drive go-to-market coordination for active trader and crypto products (options, futures, margin, USD, crypto offerings) across paid, lifecycle, web, and product surfaces. - Build and maintain clear reporting across the funnel from first touch through sign-up, funding, first trade, and retained trading value. Partner with Analytics on incrementality and lift analysis. - Run consistent testing cadence across creative, audiences, offers, and landing pages; scale learnings into repeatable programs. - Embed AI tools into performance and lifecycle workflows for creative iteration, audience research, landing page optimization, and campaign experimentation. - Contribute to quarterly planning and own delivery against targets. You will partner closely with Product, Product Marketing, Lifecycle, Sales/BDR, and Analytics teams, operating with high autonomy and accountability for funded active-trader and crypto engagement outcomes. Requirements: - 4–6 years in performance marketing, growth, or lifecycle marketing with demonstrated track record of generating high-quality consumer demand and optimizing through to downstream value. - Deep hands-on experience in paid media: owned budgets and managed campaigns across Google, Meta, X, YouTube, or programmatic; negotiated with vendors; optimized for downstream value, not cost-per-click. - Lifecycle marketing depth: built or owned activation, onboarding, nurture, or re-engagement journeys. Hands-on experience with Braze, Iterable, HubSpot, or similar platforms strongly preferred; at minimum, deep knowledge of lifecycle best practices. - Experience marketing to engaged, high-intent audiences who know the product and compare alternatives closely; understand how messaging, channel mix, and creative shift for that buyer profile. - Strong cross-functional partnering: worked closely with Product and Analytics (segment definitions, funnel diagnosis, incrementality) and Product Marketing (messaging, GTM briefs). - Demonstrated habit of using AI to accelerate work: creative at scale, research and enrichment workflows, faster data insights. - Analytical mindset: use data to diagnose funnel problems, prioritize opportunities, and recommend change—not just report results. Nice to haves: - Personal or professional familiarity with self-directed investing, active trading, or crypto (options, margin, futures, high-frequency trading, digital assets) and the platforms/communities traders use (X/FinTwit, TradingView, trading/crypto newsletters, YouTube). - Experience running go-to-market for product or benefit launches across paid, lifecycle, and product surfaces. - Experience in consumer fintech, investing, brokerage, trading, or crypto platforms.
