Parts Town, a fast-growing distributor of restaurant equipment, HVAC, and residential appliance parts, is seeking a Manager of Customer Partnerships to drive revenue and build lasting customer relationships. In this role, you will manage a high-volume outbound sales operation, prospecting and closing deals with equipment dealer customers nationwide while maintaining existing accounts. You'll place frequent outbound calls, develop sales solutions tailored to customer challenges, negotiate pricing, and leverage Parts Town's value proposition to win business from competitors.
Key responsibilities include: conducting account research and prospecting to identify new opportunities; integrating all sales activities into Salesforce for accurate reporting; partnering with the Customer Experience team to grow relationships; educating customers on Parts Town resources and technical capabilities; and traveling to industry conferences several times annually. You'll work proactively to understand customer pain points and position Parts Town solutions as the answer, building personal emotional connections with each prospect and customer.
You bring 2+ years of sales, business development, customer development, or account management experience. You are self-motivated, resilient, and hungry to win—seeing rejection as an exciting challenge rather than a setback. You excel at relationship-building, have strong communication skills, and are proficient in English (verbal and written). Bonus skills include Excel proficiency and Salesforce familiarity. The role is hybrid based in the Chicago area (Cook/DuPage County) and offers a competitive salary range of $63,236–$94,467 annually, plus performance-based bonuses and profit-sharing opportunities. Parts Town has been recognized on the Inc. 5000 list for 15 consecutive years and the Crain's Fast 50 list ten times, and is a Chicago Tribune Top Workplace for the fourth consecutive year.
