Salary: USD 125,000 - 150,000 / annual
Garner Health is seeking a Manager, Client Success to lead and develop a team of Client Success Managers serving mid-market clients (250–999 lives). This is a people-first leadership role reporting to the Director of Client Success, combining team management with hands-on client expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Client Success Managers, providing feedback and direction to drive performance
- Monitor team-level client health metrics, NPS, and engagement KPIs; identify performance patterns and coach to gaps
- Support the team in managing complex client and broker relationships; step in on escalations and high-stakes conversations
- Ensure consistent execution of workflows, SLAs, and high-quality client experience across the mid-market portfolio
- Manage a small book of mid-market client and broker relationships directly, staying hands-on with the work
- Proactively flag capacity and team-level risks to leadership before they escalate
- Contribute to process improvements, templates, tools, and workflows that enhance client engagement and renewal execution
- Represent Garner in client-facing sessions, both virtual and in-person (up to 30% travel)
Ideal Candidate:
- 3–5 years managing a B2B book of business in client success or account management, preferably in healthcare/benefits
- 2–3 years of people management experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop early-career and mid-level individual contributors
- Strong client management expertise with experience navigating complex relationships and driving retention
- Data-driven mindset; ability to use performance data to identify trends and coach effectively
- Excellent project management and organizational skills; ability to balance people leadership with client responsibilities
- Strong written and verbal communication with executive presence
- Proactive, solutions-oriented approach; passion for outstanding client experience in high-volume, high-accountability environments
- Commitment to mission-driven work with intense urgency and authentic feedback culture
