Precision for Medicine seeks a Manager of Client Finance to oversee financial management, forecasting, and month-end close activities for the client portfolio. This fully remote role reports to senior finance leadership and manages the overall financial health of client engagements.
Key responsibilities include:
• Supervise monthly project accounting efforts, lead status meetings with project managers, and maintain financial trackers across the portfolio.
• Manage new contract engagements by reviewing contracts, assessing project setup accuracy, and understanding contract components including rebates and discounts.
• Guide the Client Finance team on project tracking, review fund utilization against budgets, and escalate concerns proactively.
• Report and present project financials to project leads and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
• Collaborate with legal and cross-functional teams on MSA reviews, IP language, and finance-related contracting inputs.
• Manage intercompany revenue and cost transactions, including contract execution, cost allocations, and scope changes.
• Ensure compliance with client contracts, monitor revenue recognition under GAAP and ASC 606, and support year-end audit requirements.
• Prepare monthly project revenue forecasts, variance analyses, and comparisons to budget/plan in coordination with FP&A.
• Manage hours, expenses, and rates for client projects; track against forecast and assigned roles.
• Oversee client invoicing based on contracts, reconcile discrepancies, manage unbilled revenue aging, and follow up on past-due AR.
• Manage monthly client accruals and consolidate with other Precision entities as applicable.
• Review and report subcontractor expenses (billable vs. non-billable) and manage subcontractor agreements.
• Conduct secondary review of expense reports, invoices, and credit card bookings for budget compliance and vendor approvals.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to drive efficiencies and cost savings; develop and implement new policies and procedures.
• Manage audit timelines, prepare supporting documentation, and reconcile documents for annual audit.
• Mentor and develop direct reports and junior staff; advise on best practices for client finance and non-routine transactions.
• Support ad hoc projects including annual budget preparation and lead budgeting for specific P&L line items.
The role requires strong project accounting knowledge, contract management experience, GAAP and revenue recognition expertise, and the ability to collaborate across finance, operations, and business development teams.
