Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, automating how over $200B in annualized spend flows through 70,000+ companies. The company handles payment authorization, risk flagging, spend categorization, and financial close processes for ambitious businesses.
You will lead an established five-person Channel Partner Management team focused on the Private Equity segment. The team consists of one Upmarket PE CPM (strategic, complex sponsor relationships) and four Core/Downmarket PE CPMs (scaled coverage and portfolio-company pipeline generation). This is a people-leadership and operating-excellence role—not a player-coach position where you personally own every senior relationship.
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Lead, coach, and develop the five-person PE CPM team with clear role charters, coverage models, capacity expectations, and success metrics by segment
- Build a rigorous commercial operating rhythm tracking sourced pipeline, qualified opportunities, closed-won revenue, partner activation, portfolio coverage, conversion velocity, and partner health
- Coach CPMs through real partner interactions and account plans, identifying skill gaps and prescribing targeted interventions
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Account Management, Customer Success, Finance, ChOps, and Growth to convert PE influence into high-quality pipeline and strategic outcomes
- Recruit, onboard, performance-manage, and retain a high-performing, collaborative team
- Serve as executive escalation point for the team's most strategic PE relationships, exercising judgment about when to coach, join, or personally intervene
- Leverage AI and automation to improve research, portfolio coverage, executive preparation, and team productivity
- Help shape PE channel strategy and codify repeatable playbooks for the broader Channel organization
You bring 5+ years of quota-carrying experience, ideally with Private Equity firms and portfolio companies, plus 1+ years leading a revenue-carrying partnerships, sales, or account-management team. You have demonstrated success managing complex books of investor, sponsor, or enterprise partner relationships with measurable commercial outcomes. You combine strong commercial judgment with a rigorous, data-driven management style, using funnel health, conversion, velocity, and account signals to coach and allocate resources. You have executive presence with PE partners, operating teams, CFOs, and internal stakeholders, and proven ability to lead through ambiguity and drive cross-functional outcomes without formal authority.
