Salary: USD 315,000 - 380,000 / annual
Anthropic is seeking a Manager of Applied AI Architecture for Financial Services to lead a pre-sales Solutions Architect team. In this role, you will drive adoption of frontier AI (Claude, Claude Code, Cowork, and the Claude Development Platform) among banking, insurance, asset management, and payment provider customers.
Key responsibilities include hiring and managing a team of Solutions Architects, providing technical guidance and career development, setting performance goals in collaboration with sales and cross-functional partners, and serving as a technical sponsor for high-value strategic customers. You will advise customers on AI adoption strategies, use case scoping, and deployment approaches. You'll partner closely with sales leadership to identify new strategies for vertical and horizontal use case adoption, work with product and engineering teams to prioritize customer feedback and resolve adoption blockers, and travel to customer sites and conferences for executive sessions and relationship building.
Additionally, you will establish a shared vision for creating solutions that enable beneficial and safe AI, contribute to thought leadership through presentations and content, and stay current with emerging AI trends.
Required qualifications: 7+ years as a Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or similar pre-sales technical role; 3+ years of technical pre-sales management experience; proven success selling complex technical products to Financial Services companies; deep technical proficiency with enterprise AI use cases, API integrations, and enterprise solution rollouts; understanding of consumption-based business models; ability to build and scale teams in ambiguous, fast-moving environments; excellent communication and coaching abilities; strong executive presence; high-level familiarity with LLM architecture and operation; and passion for safe, beneficial AI.
Strong candidates may have 5+ years leading solution architect teams through hypergrowth (10–50+ people), hands-on experience with AI platforms and enterprise integration patterns combined with C-level engagement in $10M+ evaluations, and demonstrated success in banking, insurance, payments, or asset management GTM.
