Adyen is a global financial technology platform providing payments, data, and financial products for enterprise customers including Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft. This Manager, Account Management role is based in Amsterdam and leads a team of account managers responsible for growing strategic merchant relationships and payments revenue.
You will build, mentor, and coach account managers while streamlining team operations and fostering effective collaboration across the organization. Key responsibilities include motivating team members and providing coaching in strategic account planning, contract negotiations, product roadmap discussions, and executive engagement. You'll create an inspiring, collaborative team environment with open communication and feedback culture.
As a senior stakeholder, you'll provide strategic and consultative advice to influence the global payments strategy for merchants. You'll set clear individual and team goals focused on revenue growth, report on performance metrics at executive level, and recruit new team members aligned with Adyen's culture and required skills.
You should be an energetic self-starter with proven commercial edge, entrepreneurial track record, and strong negotiation skills. You're excited to lead time-sensitive, cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced, highly entrepreneurial environment. Excellent communication, team collaboration, strong management skills, and technical aptitude are essential.
Minimum qualifications: 3+ years managing teams and building executive-level enterprise relationships; 5+ years in account management, business development, consulting, or related field; Bachelor's degree; full professional English proficiency. Experience in enterprise payments, financial services, or from the merchant side is a plus. Full-time position with some domestic and international travel required.
