Nozomi Networks is seeking a Malware Analyst Tech Lead to join the Security Research department in Milan. This is a hands-on leadership role combining deep technical expertise in malware analysis and detection engineering with team management and mentorship capabilities.
In this position, you will lead a team responsible for reverse engineering malicious samples, developing high-quality detection signatures, producing actionable threat intelligence, and sharing research findings with customers, partners, and the broader cybersecurity community. The role emphasizes protecting critical infrastructure across energy, manufacturing, transportation, resources, and other sectors in over 68 countries.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the team that creates and curates detection rules within the product, functioning as both manager and individual contributor
- Addressing customer feedback associated with detections and supporting the support team
- Performing threat intelligence operations to collect and maintain knowledge required to respond efficiently to advanced threats
- Contributing to technical material shared publicly
- Setting technical direction and communicating complex findings clearly
You will work on identifying, analyzing, and tracking advanced threats with a particular emphasis on creating reliable detections that strengthen Nozomi's AI-powered cybersecurity platform. This role requires someone who can mentor team members, guide technical strategy, and maintain hands-on involvement in malware analysis and detection engineering.
