Remote is a global HR platform enabling businesses to recruit, pay, and manage international teams across 80+ countries compliantly. The Lifecycle Specialist, Employee Relations & Transitions role is a critical position within the Lifecycle team, serving as an extension of clients' HR departments.
You will manage end-to-end employee exits (offboardings) across multiple international jurisdictions (AMER, EMEA, APAC), ensuring legal compliance and delivering superior customer service. This includes handling voluntary and involuntary terminations, resignations, transfers, employment contracts, and redundancy processes. You'll provide first-level employee relations support, guiding clients through workplace concerns and coordinating appropriate resources.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and resolving employee exits across diverse legal jurisdictions with sensitivity and compliance rigor
- Providing HR advisory guidance on termination procedures, employment law, and workplace relations
- Conducting workplace investigations and applying progressive discipline approaches
- Leading difficult conversations with conflicting parties while maintaining confidentiality
- Contributing to process improvements and automation initiatives aligned with Remote's strategic goals
- Maintaining thorough record-keeping and data integrity
- Collaborating asynchronously with international teams in a fast-paced environment
You bring HR advisor or HR business partner experience with generalist competencies across the employee lifecycle. You have proven expertise managing exits with legal compliance, strong knowledge of employment laws across jurisdictions, and excellent communication and conflict management skills. You're tech-savvy, self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working autonomously in remote, asynchronous settings. Advanced English proficiency is required; additional languages are a plus. You demonstrate an appetite for innovation, process optimization, and automation.
