DataCamp is seeking a Lifecycle & Retention Marketing Manager to execute, refine, and optimize multi-channel communications that drive learner engagement and retention. Operating at significant scale with 150+ automated email programs and millions of monthly sends, you'll partner closely with the Director of Lifecycle Marketing on campaign strategy while owning flawless execution of the test-learn-optimize roadmap.
You will design and manage lifecycle campaigns across email, mobile push, in-app notifications, and web push for multiple audience segments including free registered users, B2C, B2B enterprise, and academic subscribers. Key responsibilities include optimizing subscription rates and renewal metrics through personalized, behavior-driven messaging; ensuring rigorous QA across all campaign builds and tracking; and designing automated journeys for onboarding, activation, habit formation, re-engagement, cross-sell/upsell, and churn prevention.
You'll support the experimentation roadmap by building hypothesis backlogs, designing A/B and holdout tests, documenting results, and translating insights into strategic decisions. The role requires deep collaboration with cross-functional teams including Product, Product Marketing, Data & Analytics, Content, Brand/Design, Paid, and Sales/CS to align messaging and measurement.
Technically, you'll leverage automation tools like n8n and Make.com to prototype low-code workflows, use AI responsibly for copy ideation and analysis, and maintain compliance with GDPR, CCPA, CAN-SPAM, and PECR. You'll also identify opportunities to optimize the tech stack and ESP integrations, and report weekly and monthly on the health of the automated messaging program, proactively identifying growth opportunities based on data trends.
This is an individual contributor role with an execution-forward focus. You thrive in fast-paced environments, are data-driven, detail-oriented, and passionate about understanding user behavior to create outstanding experiences at scale.
