Abacum is a business planning platform for finance teams, founded in 2020 by two former CFOs. The company has raised over $100M (Series B in June 2025, led by Scale Venture Partners) and serves industry leaders including Dish Networks, Strava, BetterUp, and Kajabi. With 100+ employees across 30+ nationalities, Abacum is headquartered in New York with offices in Toronto and Barcelona. You will own lifecycle marketing at Abacum—the complete journey from initial lead interest through high intent to conversion. This is a foundational build role: you are the first person dedicated to this function, meaning you design the nurture tracks, segmentation, lead scoring, and measurement frameworks from scratch rather than inheriting existing programs. You will have real latitude over priorities and real accountability for results. Key responsibilities: - Design and own lifecycle programs that move leads from first interest through to sales conversations - Create nurture tracks tailored to where prospects are in their evaluation journey - Define lead readiness criteria and routing logic to sales - Connect account-level engagement signals to follow-up programs - Manage the marketing automation stack day-to-day (flows, lists, data hygiene, deliverability) - Report on conversion between lifecycle stages to demonstrate pipeline contribution - Run continuous tests on offers, timing, and audience segments to optimize program performance You will work hybrid in New York alongside the rest of the marketing team. Requirements: - 5–6 years of hands-on experience building HubSpot flows (not delegating to others) - Proven lifecycle marketing expertise at a seed to Series B B2B company where you owned both strategy and execution - Alternatively, marketing operations background that evolved into lifecycle marketing, with strong analytical skills and understanding of underlying data models - Preference for owning the entire lifecycle surface rather than specializing in one slice (email, ops, or agency work) - Measure success by stage-to-stage conversion and pipeline contribution - Deep familiarity with sales handoff dynamics; understanding that marketing-qualified and sales-ready leads are not always the same - Based in New York and committed to hybrid work Bonus qualifications: - Experience marketing to finance teams or other technical buyers where credibility outweighs volume - SQL proficiency or ability to work directly in a data warehouse to analyze funnel performance
