Clio, a global leader in legal AI technology, is seeking a Legal Architect to join the North American Sales team. This is a remote role based in the US with a preference for Chicago candidates.
You will serve as a strategic advisor and trusted consultant to mid-market law firms, helping them navigate the adoption of AI-powered legal technology. Your legal background and practice experience will be essential as you guide firms through this transformative shift in the industry.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with Account Executives to conduct discovery sessions with mid-sized law firms, identifying their business goals and operational pain points
- Design and deliver tailored, live product demonstrations of the Clio platform that resonate with practicing attorneys' daily workflows
- Navigate technical, emotional, and ethical objections during presentations, leveraging your legal expertise to build rapport and trust
- Articulate Clio's AI vision and help firms understand how to safely adopt automation for drafting, research, document analysis, and administrative efficiency
- Design and run high-impact pilot programs with strategic accounts, defining outcomes, practice areas, and specific legal tasks that demonstrate measurable value
- Convert complex attorney needs into Clio workflows, demonstrating practice-area-specific solutions
- Translate legal insights into actionable user stories for the Product team to influence the platform roadmap
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Enablement teams to ensure messaging reflects modern legal practice realities
- Create content showcasing real-world AI success stories for legal audiences
- Mentor the broader Sales and Customer Success organization through internal training on legal workflows and AI-driven solution positioning
- Stay at the forefront of AI trends and legal technology innovation, representing Clio as a credible thought leader
Required qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal degree
- 2+ years of legal practice experience at a US mid-sized law firm
- First-hand understanding of firm economics, document lifecycles, and client communication
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with high emotional intelligence
- Problem-solving mindset and natural curiosity about process optimization
- Familiarity with legal AI solutions, legal practice management (LPM), document automation, and legal research platforms
- Comfort in fast-paced, high-growth environments with shifting priorities
- Passion for legal technology and its transformative impact on legal services
