Soda is a data quality platform serving Fortune 500 companies including Disney, Ralph Lauren, CBRE, HelloFresh, 2K Games, and Nubank. The company is hiring a remote Sales Engineer to own the technical side of enterprise deals and mentor junior SEs. In this role, you will own the technical win on the company's largest enterprise deals from first technical call through architecture review, security review, proof-of-concept, and close. You'll scope POCs against customer success criteria and ensure evaluations complete on schedule. You'll handle technical and security responses on RFPs, including SOC 2 and infosec questions from regulated buyers. You'll ramp new US-based Sales Engineers, overseeing their onboarding, first demos, and readiness assessments. You'll coach demos, run technical deal reviews, and provide feedback that lands. You'll build reusable assets including demo environments, POC templates, and competitive positioning materials. The role requires 6+ years as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Solutions Architect at a B2B SaaS company selling enterprise deals ($100K+ ACV, multiple stakeholders, 3+ month cycles). You must have a track record developing other SEs through onboarding, demo coaching, or mentoring. Fluency in Python and SQL is required—you can read, write, and debug both in front of customers. Strong customer communication skills are essential; you can explain complex technical concepts to both Data Engineers and CDOs. You have a builder mentality, are humble and high-horsepower, and prefer automating tasks to repeating them. Nice-to-have qualifications include experience selling data quality, governance, or observability tools; selling into regulated industries (financial services, pharma, energy, insurance); data stack fluency (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, dbt, Airflow, Kafka); and interest in growing into management. The company operates in expansion phase with limited process and no dedicated enablement team. You'll be expected to create templates and documentation as needed. Direct line to the CRO, Director of Customer Engineering, and product team.
