Writer is an enterprise generative AI platform that enables leading companies (Mars, Marriott, Uber, Vanguard) to build and deploy AI agents grounded in their proprietary data. You will join as Senior Staff Product Manager reporting directly to the VP of Product, operating as a force-multiplier across the product organization. This is a high-impact, autonomous role spanning multiple product areas and teams. You'll own ambiguous, multi-quarter problem spaces where you set direction, align stakeholders, and drive execution excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive end-to-end product initiatives from discovery through launch and iteration across multiple squads
- Shape product strategy and roadmap in partnership with VP of Product, translating company goals into ambitious, sequenced bets
- Conduct customer discovery with enterprise buyers, end users, and prospects to validate problem-solution fit and champion customer voice
- Partner with engineering and design to define requirements, navigate technical tradeoffs, and bring fluency to LLM, agent, and platform architecture discussions
- Align cross-functional stakeholders (go-to-market, sales, marketing, customer success, executive leadership) through crisp, audience-appropriate communication
- Define and own success metrics, using data and qualitative signals to evaluate impact and communicate outcomes to leadership
- Mentor and coach other PMs, modeling best practices and strengthening a culture of rigor, customer obsession, and velocity
You'll thrive at the intersection of customer empathy, technical depth, and business judgment, equally comfortable shaping multi-quarter roadmaps and rolling up your sleeves to unblock execution.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of product management experience with a track record of owning and shipping complex, high-impact products, ideally in SaaS, platform, infrastructure, or AI/ML-driven environments
- Senior- or staff-level experience operating autonomously across ambiguous, multi-team problem spaces and influencing outcomes well beyond your immediate team
- Genuine customer obsession with instinct to synthesize signal from noise and design from deep understanding of real workflows and pain points
- Technical credibility to engage meaningfully with engineers and researchers on system design, LLM capabilities, data, and architecture
- Blend of strong strategic thinking and relentless execution capability
- Exceptional communication skills tailored for any audience, from frontline engineers to executive team, driving alignment without relying on org chart authority
- Mentor's instinct and builder's drive with data-informed, outcome-driven mindset
Nice to haves:
- Experience building products powered by LLMs, generative AI, or large-scale AI/ML systems
- Background in enterprise software, developer platforms, or developer-facing products
- Familiarity with AI governance, guardrails, and operational considerations of deploying AI in regulated or high-stakes environments
