Kela Technologies is seeking a Flight Control Engineer to lead the development of advanced flight control and guidance algorithms for a new electrical tactical munition platform. You will be responsible for designing, simulating, and implementing flight control systems for a high-dynamic, tube-launched platform operating at 100m/s, working from early R&D through field-proven maturity. Key responsibilities include: • Design, simulate, and implement advanced flight control algorithms for high-dynamic tactical systems • Develop and maintain 6-DOF mathematical models of flight dynamics and aerodynamic responses through rapid iteration cycles • Integrate flight control loops with electro-optical computer vision systems to enable autonomous terminal homing • Deploy and tune control laws using Software-in-the-Loop (SITL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) simulation environments prior to live field testing • Analyze flight logs and telemetry data from weekly tactical field tests to optimize flight envelopes and resolve dynamic anomalies • Collaborate with system, hardware, and vision teams to ensure control algorithms translate into robust implementations on microcontroller platforms • Guide the platform's flight dynamics from concept through operational deployment, ensuring high maneuverability and precision accuracy You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams in a fast-paced environment with regular field testing cycles. The role requires strong expertise in control systems, flight dynamics modeling, and real-time embedded systems integration.
