Snowflake is seeking a Lead Developer Advocate to serve as a bridge between product/engineering teams and the global developer community. You will own and execute the developer advocacy strategy for SQL development, analytics workflows, and the modern data stack, driving adoption through technical content, reference implementations, and community engagement.
Key responsibilities include: defining and executing advocacy strategy aligned with product goals and measurable business outcomes; creating high-quality technical content (tutorials, quickstarts, blog posts, videos, code samples, best-practice guides); designing and maintaining production-grade reference implementations and demos for real-world analytics, BI, and data transformation workflows; leading enablement for SQL, data modeling, analytics engineering, dashboards, pipelines, and governance; representing Snowflake at conferences, meetups, webinars, and community events across EMEA; engaging in developer communities (GitHub, Stack Overflow, Slack, Discord, Reddit); synthesizing developer feedback and translating friction points into actionable product recommendations; and designing metrics to track content effectiveness, developer engagement, and adoption impact.
You will need 5+ years in developer advocacy, developer relations, technical evangelism, solutions architecture, or similar hands-on technical roles, with proven success driving adoption for developer platforms or data products. Strong hands-on proficiency in SQL and Python is required, along with deep familiarity with modern data workflows (analytics engineering, data transformation, orchestration, BI tools, cloud data platforms). You should have experience building demos and reference apps for analytics use cases, ability to explain complex topics clearly, and a strong public portfolio of technical content (talks, blog posts, videos, open source projects). Experience growing and engaging developer communities through authentic participation is essential.
