Salesforce is seeking a Senior Solution Engineer with deep Master Data Management (MDM) expertise to join the SMB Solution Engineering team. This is a pre-sales technical role where you will serve as the technical authority on MDM solutions, partnering directly with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle.
Key responsibilities include conducting technical discovery sessions with prospects, delivering tailored demonstrations and Proofs of Concept, and making architectural recommendations that connect MDM solutions to business outcomes. You will bridge MuleSoft and Informatica solutions, helping customers and the team develop integrated go-to-market strategies.
You will build trusted relationships with sales teams and customers to qualify deals, identify business value, and provide strategic technical guidance. Your work includes responding to RFI/RFP documents independently, delivering whiteboarding sessions and architecture workshops, and staying current with the evolving MDM, iPaaS, and AI landscape.
Required qualifications include a B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or MIS, with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience. You must have strong knowledge of MDM fundamentals including identity and entity resolution, data modeling, governance workflows, data integration, and headless MDM architectures. Experience with cloud technologies (iPaaS, SaaS, cloud infrastructure) is essential.
Preferred qualifications include Salesforce or Informatica certifications, previous Solution Engineering or Sales Engineering experience, and familiarity with MuleSoft and/or Informatica product portfolios. You should be comfortable presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences, leading architectural discussions, and operating in high-volume, high-ambiguity SMB environments.
