Neko Health is building a preventative care platform that delivers personalized health insights through non-invasive testing and clinical care. As a Laboratory Technologist, you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and quality across all laboratory operations at the Miami clinic.
You will perform moderate-complexity clinical laboratory testing according to established SOPs and regulatory requirements (CLIA, CAP, Florida State). Key responsibilities include preparing, processing, analyzing, and verifying patient specimens with complete documentation and traceability; operating and maintaining lab instrumentation including daily, weekly, and monthly checks; managing QC activities and reagent inventory; and escalating quality risks before they become problems.
You will review QC data to identify trends and deviations early, maintain inspection-ready standards across all lab operations, participate in proficiency testing and audits, and collaborate with clinical, operations, and technical teams to optimize workflows. You will also mentor newer team members and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
The role demands precision and consistency—performing the 500th specimen with the same care as the first. You should have a keen eye for data anomalies, the ability to troubleshoot instrumentation methodically, and a commitment to meticulous documentation and compliance. Success in this role requires calm problem-solving under pressure, ownership of quality standards without external reminders, and pride in the invisible work that underpins a reliable lab system.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of clinical laboratory experience in a moderate- or high-complexity clinical lab setting
- Active Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist license (generalist) with specialty designation covering clinical chemistry, hematology, and immunology
- Hands-on experience performing clinical chemistry and immunology testing
- Preferred: ASCP certification; experience with Abbott Alinity system
