Datadog is seeking a Key Accounts Executive to target and close new business with the largest, most strategic prospects in high-potential companies. You'll focus on understanding pain points as enterprises operate in or migrate to cloud environments at scale, and deliver appropriate Datadog solutions.
In this role, you will develop and execute outbound prospecting strategies tailored to Fortune 100 accounts, driving strategic, multi-threaded sales motions across multiple stakeholders and product suites. You'll own and grow your own accounts, demonstrating the value of the Datadog platform while cross-selling and navigating complex organizational structures. You'll work to develop deep comprehension of customers' businesses and collaborate cross-functionally with marketing and solutions engineering teams to support coordinated prospecting efforts.
Key responsibilities include negotiating favorable pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises by selling value and ROI, demonstrating resourcefulness when facing complex challenges, and maintaining high forecasting accuracy. You'll identify robust business drivers behind all opportunities and ensure consistent pipeline development.
You bring 5+ years of enterprise sales experience selling into Fortune 100 companies with a proven ability to win new logos. You've met or exceeded direct sales goals of $1M+ with average deal sizes of $100k+. You have demonstrated methodology to prospect and build pipeline independently, experience in innovative tech companies (SaaS, IT infrastructure preferred), and a self-starter mindset. You're coachable, willing to adapt your sales motion, and comfortable with regular travel to client sites using various modes of transportation.
