As Key Account Manager, you will own a portfolio of SimScale's most valuable existing enterprise customers with a clear mandate to expand footprint and scale revenue within these strategic accounts. You will build multi-year account strategies, develop executive relationships across engineering and simulation leadership, and turn successful initial deployments into organization-wide adoption of SimScale's platform and AI capabilities.
Key responsibilities include: owning net revenue retention and expansion targets for a defined portfolio of strategic accounts, driving upsell, cross-sell, and multi-year renewals; developing and executing strategic account plans that map customer engineering initiatives, organizational structures, budget cycles, and buying centers to concrete expansion opportunities; building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders (VP Engineering, Head of R&D, CTO, CIO) and growing from single-team deployments to enterprise-wide agreements; identifying new use cases, departments, business units, and geographies within existing accounts where SimScale can deliver value; leading complex, multi-threaded enterprise sales cycles end to end including business case development, value engineering, procurement, legal, and executive alignment; orchestrating cross-functional account teams including Customer Success, Solution Engineering, and Marketing to ensure adoption, satisfaction, and measurable customer outcomes; and running executive business reviews that quantify delivered value and build the roadmap for the next phase of the partnership.
Required qualifications: 7+ years of quota-carrying B2B software sales experience with at least 3 years in strategic/key account management or enterprise expansion roles; a track record of growing existing enterprise accounts consistently exceeding expansion/NRR targets and closing six- to seven-figure agreements; experience selling software to engineering, manufacturing, or technical audiences (CAE, simulation, CAD/PLM, or adjacent engineering software experience is a strong plus); command of value-based and consultative selling methodologies (MEDDICC, Challenger) and complex procurement processes.
