Mirum Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company focused on rare disease treatment, is seeking a Key Account Manager for Hepatology to cover North Germany. This field-based commercial role is responsible for developing and growing Mirum's hepatology disease portfolio within an assigned territory, working in close partnership with healthcare professionals and multidisciplinary care teams.
The KAM will develop and execute strategic account plans for priority centers and regional networks that support appropriate patient identification, access, and use of Mirum's therapies. The role combines strong clinical knowledge with commercial excellence to build trusted customer relationships, identify opportunities, and support long-term account development.
Key responsibilities include: developing strategic account plans aligned with national commercial objectives; building partnerships with healthcare professionals, KOLs, specialist centers, and academic hospitals; delivering high-quality scientific and product discussions; identifying customer needs and aligning Mirum resources; assessing regional account opportunities using market intelligence; supporting account-readiness activities; sharing compliant field insights; collaborating with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Marketing; maintaining disease and product knowledge; demonstrating accountability for territory performance; and contributing to Mirum's collaborative culture.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in science or related field; 3+ years of professional experience in pharmaceutical or biotech field-based commercial roles; proven track record in specialty care or rare disease markets; demonstrated success supporting product launches or market development in complex healthcare environments; understanding of strategic account management and German healthcare environment; commitment to compliance and ethical practices; willingness to travel frequently including overnight travel; fluency in German and English with ability to read, understand, and communicate scientific and business information in English.
Preferred: advanced degree; experience in liver disease, rare disease, GI, or hepatology specialty areas.
