SoFi is a next-generation fintech company transforming personal finance through innovative, mobile-first technology. As an Investment Specialist II, you will serve as a trusted advisor to SoFi's 1.8+ million members, helping them build and improve their financial futures through the company's suite of investment services including brokerage, robo-advisor, and retirement accounts. You will support members across multiple channels—phone, chat, and email—educating them on investment products and helping them achieve their financial goals. Your responsibilities include assessing member financial situations and goals through inbound calls, explaining the benefits of brokerage and robo accounts, and guiding members through account opening processes. You'll provide ongoing account monitoring with meticulous attention to detail, troubleshoot operational and technical issues, and educate members on margin, options, and equities trading. You will work directly with SoFi's custodial platform to assist members in opening, funding, and transacting accounts. Additionally, you'll collaborate with management and product teams to identify process improvements and enhance the technical platforms that serve members. The role requires explaining investment performance, discussing wealth management decisions, and providing operational support for investment-related questions. This is an ideal role for someone with strong financial services experience who combines technical knowledge with excellent customer service skills. You'll need Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses (or Series 7 and 66), plus 2+ years of financial services experience, preferably in a customer-facing environment. A bachelor's degree is preferred, though relevant experience may substitute. You must maintain all required professional certifications and pass a FINRA fingerprint background check. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, problem-solver, and team player with deep understanding of financial concepts, margin and option regulations, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
